Hey there! Thought I would pop on here this week and share some of the books I either have to read next or want to pick up to read next.
I have been incredibly inspired by everything that is being shared on social media right now, so I added a section to this book list that is specific to books on race. I am going to work on being better at educating myself and keeping books on race in regular rotation on my reading list.
THE READING LIST:
Little Fires Everywhere – Celeste NG
Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine – Gail Honeyman
Such a Fun Age – Kiley Reid
Three Wishes – Liane Moriarty
To Kill A Mockingbird – Harper Lee (this is a re-read for me, I read it years ago but think I could use a re-fresher)
BOOKS ON RACE:
The Bluest Eye – Toni Morison
Beloved – Toni Morison
Their Eyes Were Watching God – Zora Neale Hurston
So You Want to Talk About Race – Ijeoma Oluo
Just Mercey – Bryan Stevenson
The Vanishing Half – Brit Bennett
READING NOW:
Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty
Morrie: In His Own Words – Morrie Schwartz
‘JUST FINISHED:
Tuesdays With Morrie – Mitch Albom
I would love to hear what book you just finished and what book you have on your list to read next! I hope you were able to find some books in this list that you’re interested in reading.
