2021 EMPTIES PT. 4

Hello, friends & welcome back! If you’ve been following along here for a while you know that in 2021 I challenged myself to start using up products before purchasing anything new. Not only has this challenge helped me save money, but it has also helped me use up products rather than letting them go to waste.

Another fun part about using up these products is that it means I can share an empties post with you as well! So, let’s get into the products…

Hawaiian Tropic After Sun Lotion – I’ve used this for years now, it’s something I always keep on hand in the summer. It smells incredible and feels great and cooling on my skin after I’ve gotten a little too much sun.

Too Faced Hangover 3-in-1 Spray – I’ll be honest, I’m not much of a setting spray person, I rarely use it but I did love how moisturizing this felt on my skin. My primary use of this was to make my skin look more hydrated after applying makeup and it certainly did that well! I also thought this one smelled really yummy!

Tula Super Soothe Calming Moisturizing Lotion – I know by now you would’ve heard me talk about this, it is a product I ALWAYS have on hand because nothing calms my skin down like this. I don’t even know how many of these I’ve gone through at this point but I couldn’t recommend this more.

Drunk Elephant Jelly Cleanser – I thought this was a great cleanser, it always took all my makeup off without feeling too drying and I loved that it didn’t have any strong fragrance to it. With that being said it is a really expensive product and at its price point, I don’t think I would ever purchase it on my own.

Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox – This mask comes at a great price point, however, I do find it to be really drying. For that reason, I usually just use it as a spot treatment. I wouldn’t consider it a holy grail product, however, if you’re looking for an under $10 mask option, this one works well.

Garnier Brightening Gel Wash – I’ve been using a few Garnier Green Labs products lately and I love everything I’ve tried. This was a great daily cleanser that always worked well at removing makeup without stripping my skin. I didn’t repurchase this specific product, but I did repurchase another face wash from this line!

Zo Skin Health Complexion Renewal Pads – These were a product that someone gifted to me, I didn’t use them on a regular basis so I can’t necessarily comment on seeing a change in my skin after using them, however, I did really enjoy that they had an exfoliating feel to them.

Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask – I LOVED this mask! First of all, it is a very fun blue, but I loved that it was a combo of being a mud mask that also had exfoliating bits in it. I didn’t excessively dry out my skin, but I always felt like I noticed a big difference the day after using it. I haven’t repurchased this one yet, but I definitely intend on doing so!

Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream – Something else I wanted to be better at in 2021 was regularly using eye creams. Dark circles are a big insecurity of mine, and I knew if I could reduce my dark circles I would feel more confident in not wearing makeup as regularly. I don’t necessarily know that I noticed a reduction in darkness from using this one but my eyes definitely didn’t appear as puffy and tired-looking.

Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana Intense Hydration Body Cream – This product definitely lives up to its intense hydration name. It also smells great (although I like their other scent more). My only complaint with this moisturizer is that it does feel a bit sticky after applying for a few minutes.

Good Molecules Ultra-Hydrating Facial Oil – This is another holy-grail skincare product for me. I started using it about 8 months ago and I’ve been using it daily ever since. I apply it prior to applying lotion at night and it helps my skin look so glowy and hydrated when I wake up in the morning. It is a pretty small bottle, however, a little goes a long way and it’s a great price too!

Loreal Paris Infallible Pro-Glow Concealer – Well this was one of my favourite concealers I’ve ever tried, but now I can’t find it anywhere! If you’re able to find it, I would highly recommend it. This Concealer blends into my skin so nicely and looks natural while still covering blemishes. I used it on breakouts and undereye circles and it worked great for both. If anyone knows where I can find this, please help a sister out!

Those were all my empties this time, I will likely have one more of these posts (but a shorter one) for you by the end of the year, but if you would like to see some other empties posts of mine you can check them out here:
