Although I know this wasn’t the case for many, I would consider 2019 to be the best year year of my life thus far. I traveled new places, I finished my first year of university and I put my happiness first. Looking back on my memories of 2019 I see it as a year where I pushed myself, grew as a person, and experienced new things.

I spent 2019 living in the two most beautiful cities, that I am forever grateful to be able to live in. To me Seattle & Victoria will always feel like home.

In February we experienced a blizzard which made all my winter wonderland dreams come true. If you are familiar with Gilmore Girls, my feelings toward snow are very similar to those of Lorelai Gilmore…

In April, I finished my first year of University & celebrated with my besties!! Despite being such an adjustment, it’s definitely been the best part of my life so far.

At the end of April I finally met some lovely ladies from instagram in real life. This was huge for me because I’m normally not the best at putting myself out there, but this was SO MUCH FUN.

I spent a lot of time in 2019 being so grateful for the incredible people that instagram has brought into my life.

In May I hopped on a plane to LA to visit my childhood best friend who I hadn’t seen in YEARS. This was by far the most I have ever laughed, and taught me that last minute flights are always a good idea.

In July I decided I hadn’t spent enough time in California, and hopped on a plane to San Francisco. I had never been before and definitely found it an incredible city that I will 100% be visiting again in the near future.

I spent the rest of the summer exploring the beautiful PNW that I am so fortunate to live in. We took some weekend trips to various islands in the area and watched all the sunsets.

As September rolled around I headed back to Victoria to start my 2nd year of University. Over the summer I had made a big decision to switch majors so I went back to school full of excitement about this new change. One semester in, I can confirm that I am loving it and very excited to see everything that it brings.

I am forever grateful for all the lessons, experiences and people that 2019 brought me. Here’s to 2020 being even better!

XO Cassidy Hannah
