Once again, I’m running a bit behind on my monthly favourites. In the words of our queen Taylor Swift, August slipped away into a moment in time, until the last few days when I was hit with a family tragedy. In the weeks since, I have been trying to pick myself up and slowly put the pieces of my heart back together. A piece of my heart is gone, but I will live the rest of my life keeping her memory alive.
With that being said, I do still want to celebrate the wonderful things from the month that was. August had some special moments and I found some things I loved so I wanted to share them here.
Victoria Cider Co. – If you are in Victoria, this is a great way to spend a sunny weekend afternoon. Everyone who works here is so lovely, the cider is amazing and it is the cutest spot! I am so glad I checked it out, I will definitely be back soon.
Philips One by Sonicare Toothbrush – I was in the market for an electric toothbrush and absolutely love this one. It is so tiny that I can still keep it in my toothbrush holder on the counter and it is USB chargeable but the battery lasts so long that I haven’t had to charge it yet. Dynamite Ella Mom Short – This summer I finally found the perfect denim shorts, they are the perfect blue, not too short, not too long and personally I find they fit me perfectly. I will be ordering few extra pairs of these because I just love them that much. You can shop them here.
Absolutely Not Podcast – I found Heather McMahan through one of my favourite bloggers, Life with Loverly, and I am so happy I did. For the past month I have been going back and catching up on every episode and I just love this podcast. Heather can make me giggle on my worst days and I just love listening no matter what mood I am in.
Ginzing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff – this favourite actually came from borrowing this from my mum. While I have a different eye cream that I prefer using at night, I’ve been sharing it on my Instagram and will include it in my September Favourites post, this is the perfect daytime eye cream. I find this product has a bit of a shimmer to it that makes it perfect for giving a little brightening boost. I find that this is the perfect substitution for wearing concealer under my eyes, and doesn’t cake! After borrowing from my mum I just purchased my own, you can shop it here.
